We’re proud to announce the release 0.1.1 of our IF-MAP visualisation tool VisITMeta.
Changes and new features (since version 0.0.5) include
Now using ifmapj v2.2.0.
Support for external motion control devices; a (simple) integration of the LeapMotion device for control via hand and gesture recognition was also released as a separate project. Check the Readme-file of that project to see how you can build and integrate it within the VisITMeta visualization application.
Identifer nodes now show more information directly, i.e. IP addresses now state ip-address: 10.0.0.1 (IPv4) instead of just ip-address.
Identifier nodes can be colored according to their type.
Further information about identifier and metadata is now shown via a extra subscreen on the bottom instead of a tooltip.
Fixed a severe bug inside the dataservice application.
Trust@HsH participates at TCG Members Meeting 2014 in Barcelona
The triennially hosted members meeting of the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) is the place for planning and coordinating the tasks and activities within the workgroups of the TCG and a great opportunity to bounce off ideas with talented infividuals from both industry and academia.
Leonard Renners and Thomas Rossow from the Trust@HsH research group participated in this year’s June meeting that was held in Barcelona from 24th of until 26th of July. They endorsed the new developments within the Trust@HsH group (e.g. in the SIMU and VisITMeta research project) and contributed to discussions about the future of the IF-MAP and TNC specifications.
They were also happy to have fruitful and interesting conversations with some of our long-time partners within the TCG such as Liza Lorenzin (Juniper Networks), Steve Hanna (Infineon), Andreas Steffen (Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil) and Henk Birkholz (Fraunhofer SIT).

Trust@HsH participates at TNC Spring Plugfest 2014 in Darmstadt
The Trust@HsH research group participated for the third time in a row at the TNC Spring Plugfest 2014, which was hosted by Fraunhofer SIT in Darmstadt, from April 1st till April 3rd.
At the event we had the chance to test the interoperability of our latest IF-MAP software components with the components and products of other TCG members.
We basically tested our ifmapj-based MAP clients and our MAP server irond in their latest version, as well as a few yet unreleased components.
Thanks to Ronald Marx and the team from Fraunhofer SIT and Matt Tracy from the Trusted Computing Group for organizing and hosting the event.
